Property Accountability Officer

Engility is seeking a Project Accountability Officer to support military medical programs.
The Property Accountability Officer (PAO) will be maintaining property books, hand receipts and accountability for all standard and non-standard equipment transferred to the customers within the JPEO-CBRND portfolio. The PAO is responsible for researching, cataloging, posting, editing, and filing all property book documentation. The PAO uses discretion in the execution of duties and makes decision that have an impact on the mission of JPEO-CBRND.
JPEO-CBRND manages a dynamic and diverse portfolio of critical war-fighting capabilities with a cohesive, and innovative, total-life-cycle systems management approach. They rapidly respond to the needs of the force balanced by providing affordable sustainment strategies.
The PAO plays a key role in providing the schedule-driven, critical solutions to the Warfighter by developing and/or implementing strategies for rapid assessments, evaluation, fielding, New Equipment Training (NET), sustainment, and continuous product improvement activities are essential to the JPEO-CBRND support to its customers. The role is critical to the effort that establishes requirements to provide Logistics and Medical professional support, as required, to assist the JPEO-CBRND in their role as the Total Life-cycle Systems Manager for the Chemical and Biological Defense Programs (CBDPs) within the Department of Defense (DoD).
Specific duties may include:
Administers property control program activities to ensure continual accountability of company, government, or associate contractor, property and assets in accordance with applicable policy or government regulations.
Maintains property accountability records and determines condition and arranges disposal of surplus or obsolete material or equipment.
Contacts potential users and negotiates transfers.
Conducts property audits, develops, recommends, and implements property administration policies.
Provides guidance on company policy and government regulations pertaining to property accountability.
Prepares periodic and special purpose reports relative to such matters as taxes, purchasing, rentals and leasing, insurance, usage and distribution.
Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or related field is required.
At least 8 year's experience with the undergraduate degree (or 6 years with a Master's Degree).
DoD Secret Clearance.


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
