Cost Estimator Level III

Data Systems Analysts, Inc. is searching for a
Cost Estimator Level IIIat our Edgewood MD location. Duties include but are not limited to:? The candidate shall prepare and conduct comprehensive cost analyses and modeling in support of requirements for acquisitions/systems managed by the JPM, providing independent analysis of requirements in order to estimate life cycle costs.
? The candidate shall use and correctly apply appropriate cost estimating methodologies, in accordance with the US Army Cost Analysis Handbook, Defense Acquisition Guidebook (DAG), DODI 5000. 73 (dated 9 June 2015), DODI 5000. 02, and Military Handbook 881 WBS for Defense Material Items. (Per JPEO-CBD direction, Life Cycle Cost Estimates (LCCEs) shall be developed using ACEIT.
? The candidate shall develop logical cost estimates that are defensible and supportable.
? The candidate shall perform and document a variety of cost and economic analyses (i. e., parametric cost estimates, cost and schedule estimates, life cycle cost analyses, cost estimating relationship development, model development, cost risk analyses, project forecasting, risk assessment, cost-benefit analyses, and software cost estimating) in order to determine costs and risks involved, as well as approaches to minimize both.
? The candidate shall develop and maintain cost estimating/program documents, including:
o Cost Analysis Requirement Documents (CARD)
o LCCEs
o Affordability assessments
o Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs)
o Cost sensitivity analyses
o Business Case Analyses (BCAs)
o Program office estimates
o Cost-benefit analyses
o Trade-off studies (as part of system engineering requirements)
? The candidate shall develop matrices to track Will Cost/Should Cost in LCCEs and provide data analyses.
? The candidate shall develop briefings and present them to senior staff.
? The candidate shall possess demonstrated expertise with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) suite.
? The candidate shall possess experience working with integrated cost, schedule, and risk assessment metrics.
The candidate shall possess a Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline, as well as eight (8) years of general experience and five (5) years of relevant experience.
? The candidate shall possess demonstrated expertise with the Automated Cost Estimating Integrated Tools (ACEIT) suite.
? The candidate shall possess experience working with integrated cost, schedule, and risk assessment metrics.
Education: The candidate shall possess a Master's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline, as well as eight (8) years of general experience and five (5) years of relevant experience.
? Alternate Education (requiring a waiver): The candidate shall possess a Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline, as well as ten (10) years of general experience and seven (7) years of relevant experience.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
