65 an hour 22 hours ago 22 hours ago 22 hours ago Nature of Work Employee will be responsible for the physical security of the Harford County Sheriff's Office Southern Precinct.
Employee will maintain a highly visible profile in the office building in order to establish and maintain a safe working environment.
This position will be scheduled to work on Saturday and Sunday from 230pm-1030pm.
Examples of Duties Complete security of the building.
Meet and provide information to the public.
Complete walk-in citizen reports and telephone reports.
Complete warrant checks, NCIC/METERS entries, etc.
Perform assigned clerical duties as directed by Supervisor.
Communicate with Supervisors.
Perform other duties as required/assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements Graduation from a high school recognized by the Maryland State Board of Education or possession of a GED certificate recognized by the Maryland Board of Education.
Valid Class D or Class C non-commercial driver's license with no more than three (3) points and a relatively clean driving record.
Notes Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard practices and equipment common to maintaining the security of premises.
Knowledge of common fire hazards and fire equipment together with the ability to use such equipment.
Knowledge of computers and software, to include Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
Ability to analyze situations quickly and objectively to determine proper courses of action.
Ability to deal firmly, tactfully and courteously with the public.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions.
Ability to establish a good working relationship with others.
Ability to work various hours and be on-call.
Selected Candidate:
Must be 18 years of age or older and U.
S.
citizen with 10 years of verifiable US residency.
Must pass comprehensive background investigation and criminal record check; medical exam and drug/alcohol screening; and polygraph exam.
Must provide handwriting sample for review.
Must appear before and receive a favorable recommendation from Oral Interview Board.
Must possess a history and exhibit the characteristics of honesty, reliability, integrity, and interpersonal skills.
Any criminal conviction(s) and/or arrest(s) may be grounds for disqualification.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
