Job Description The Creative Services Specialist takes a lead role in the conceptualization, design and production of corporate creative including brochures, publications, events materials, presentations, emails, websites and promotional campaigns for print and digital distribution. They must have the ability to work creatively within a corporate brand and a fast-paced environment and have an understanding of the broader communication needs of the division. The Creative Services Specialist plays a key role in the design and production process, which includes managing projects and assets, dealing directly with internal clients, external vendors and partnering with other members of the global marketing team. Understands brand consistency and development and can apply across multiple media; Competence in software such as Adobe Creative Suite, some knowledge of HTML and/or other tools for web and digital/video design needed; Ability to organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments; Dynamic, versatile and capable of exploring new concepts and impactful designs within market(s); Strong problem solving and decision-making skills; and the Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. The role will be based in Edgewood, MD, with Hybrid working available subject to discussion with Manager and equipment suitability. Duties & Responsibilities SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
o Conceptualize and design high-quality creative communications, including print, Web and digital work that aligns with business goals o Supports the continuous improvement of content management of Web site and social media platforms using web editing tools/software. o Work collaboratively with marketing team so that copy and design overall work together to communicate subject matter in a clear and understandable way. o Evolve, enhance and maintain the company's identity by working within the corporate brand. o Master and maintain brand standards and consistency of message and design across materials and media, globally. o Create press-ready mechanicals and deploy digital communications using various applications, such as Hubspot and Hootsuite o Maintain quality control in regards to file preparation, versions, and use approvals; Maintain assets and electronic files on a shared server. o Create and retouch digital images as needed. o Manage inside/outside printing or creative jobs, from bids to press check to distribution. o Art direct photo and video shoots; photography/Videography as needed. o Ensure internal workflow processes and deadlines are met; Keep project managers informed throughout design development cycle o Serve as point of contact for external vendors such as agencies and printers. o Review/proof creative for accuracy before release or final production. o Support to marketing and communication department/organization as requested o Comply with and ensure department compliance with Company health, safety and environmental policies. o All other duties as assigned. The Individual POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training:
7
years of corporate marketing experience, Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing or equivalent work experience. Skills and
Experience:
o Proficiency in Adobe CC, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Microsoft Powerpoint o Experience with Video software application; HubSpot and Hootsuite a plus o Must have formal training/experience in conceptualization, sketching, typography, production and prepress o Familiarity with web design principles and user interface best practices o Excellent oral, presentation and communication skills o Excellent project management skills o Ability to synthesize information to develop creative, innovative design solutions serving diverse business requirements across multiple markets and product lines. o Ability to translate and simplify complex data through information graphics, charts and graphs o Ability to prioritize independently based on workflow dependencies, competing business initiatives, and time constraints o Ability to work independently and take initiative solving creative problems, enhancing the brand, and improving operational efficiencies. o Ability to multitask and take initiative o Ability to accept constructive feedback, prioritize workload and solve problems quickly. o Ability to work within corporate branding guidelines, while still being creative o Background in security, defense or technology services industry a plus. o Must Comply with all applicable export control and security regulations for government contractors WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Individual's primary workstation is located in an office environment, where the noise level is low.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Digital Marketing & Social Media, Design & UXEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
